Always consult your fridge’s Use & Care Manual and run water through the dispenser for approximately 3 minutes, or 1.5 gallons, to prime the filter before use. Discard the water.

It’s recommended to replace your water filter every 6 months for safe and great-tasting water. However, if you have a large family, frequently use your refrigerator water dispenser, or live in an area with high sediment or particle in the water, consider replacing your filter more frequently.
